Overview of Upcoming Shows
We are very excited about our schedule for 2017 and hope you will be as well. In addition to some of our favorites such as the Small Works Show and American Artists Abroad we will have our 2nd annual Wildscapes, this year juried by David Rankin and the Laumeister Fine Art Competition, now in its ninth year, juried by Calvin Liang. We are always so appreciative of our jurors and this year we also want to thank the editors of the country's finest representational art publications that provided artist names for Artists for the New Century. This show, which we host every five years, will again include very strong artists that you may be familiar with, as well as many with names that might be new to you. Finally, we are excited to announce our first Member's Show, with Signature, Master and Artist Members sharing some of their finest work.
I do hope you will be able to visit us in person and enjoy the world-class art that our artists create. If you cannot, please visit our website often as all work will be found here prior to each show's opening.

May 13th - december 23rd Small Works 2017
Submission deadline: April 2, 2017
Artwork due date: May 5
Every year our Small Works Show greets our visitors with beautiful work in a broad variety of subjects but a size limitation of 14 inches. Work can be taken at time of purchase, unlike work in our other exhibitions. We look forward to another dynamic show in 2017.
June 3rd - July 9th Black & White
Submission deadline: April 23, 2017
Artwork due date: May 26.
We tend to slip into patterns of thinking—quite literally—in black and white, right and wrong, true and false. But do we ever stop to think about the depth that can be found solely within texture, lighting, shape, and perspective? There is nowhere to hide in black and white work. Whether it be charcoal, ink, oil, or even wire, technique and subject matter truly take center stage.
WILDSCAPES June 10th - July 22nd
Juried by David Rankin
Submission deadline: May 7, 2017
Artwork due date: June 2
We are excited to again exhibit a show that portrays the passion for our natural world that so many of our artists share. Whether these paintings, drawings, or sculptures focus on wildlife or instead depict the beauty, chaos, or serenity of the wild places on this earth, we expect the show that David Rankin curates to be an outstanding and thought-provoking exhibition.
American artists abroad July 15th - September 4th
Submission deadline: June 11, 2017
Artwork due date: July 7
This show will be composed of fine art created by American artists inspired by travels abroad. American Artists Abroad has been a patron favorite, as the memories or dreams of the sights, sounds and emotions of a foreign scene are further enhanced when seen through the eye of a talented artist.
The Laumeister Fine Art Competition July 29th - Sept. 17th
Juried by Calvin Liang
Submission deadline: June 18, 2017
Artwork due date: July 21
Our annual competition will this year be juried by Calvin Liang, a highly respected member of the Oil Painters of America and the California Art Club. Representational work is not limited to subject and each year this show offers our patrons a very impressive collection of work by many of today’s finest artists. Monetary awards will be announced at the opening on September 23.
