CordisContemporary Chamber
Cordis has been redefining contemporary chamber music by fusing an original combination of custom-made and traditional ethnic instruments to create their signature sound. Although the ensemble is built upon cello, concert cimbalom, piano and percussion, one-of-a-kind creations such as the electric mbira, melodica, and the world's longest playing cylinder-driven music box also have a way of weaving their way into any given performance.

Pearl and The Beard is three voices, one cello, one guitar, one glockenspiel, one melodica, several drums, one accordion and one soul. United in New York City, the trio has now traveled the states on a multitude of national tours and across the pond for a hugely successful inaugural UK tour in 2011. Their haunting music video for “The Lament of Coronado Brown” even made its debut on NPR’s acclaimed music site, All Songs Considered.

Born and raised in Uganda, Samite became one of East Africa's most acclaimed flutists before he was forced to flee to Kenya and eventually the US. Today his smooth vocals accompanied by the kalimba, marimba, litungu, and various flutes mesmerize audiences throughout the world and we are proud to introduce him to Bennington.

Russian Duo

Russian DuoRussian Folk
Oleg Kruglyakov and Terry Boyarsky team up to promise an exuberant performance of soulful, passionate, traditional Russian music. Their collaboration highlights the mysterious sounds of the balalaika underscored by the vast expressive range of the piano. Featuring vocals and Russian percussion, their extensive repertoire draws from Russian folk music, romances, dances, classical music and gypsy melodies.
