"My childhood is filled with memories of many trips throughout the Southwest in the 60s, influencing the style, colors, and patterns that I love. Through numerous classes, workshops, and courses, I developed skills in graphic design and illustration heavily influenced by the methods of the Golden Age Illustrators taught by my instructors. These experiences, along with skill development in fine art, have brought me to who I am today as an artist in Montana.
This piece reflects how the American Indian of this region has become a large part of my life. My awe of their regalia is expressed by featuring their images in an imaginary world of colorful winds or swirling skies, often backlit by an abstraction of the sun or moon. Always whimsical, my approach blends color, patterns, and textural elements from past influences to give my works a contemporary twist. My style is a look at the West viewed through the lens of 30 years of work in design and illustration."
